    San Shou in Dallas?

I suck at google. I'm not getting anything with SanShou in Dallas. Does anyone know any schools that practice Sanda in Dallas?

    ASDFASD.

You're in Dallas. Go to the Machado school, the Dallas judo dojo, the DFW Kendo Kyokai, or one of the numerous muay thai or kali schools. NOW.

A little presomptous are we? This isn't for me. I know someone personally who's into Kung Fu bullshido. I think Kung Fu will be more coercing for him to leave.

He competes in a point sparring tournament called the BIG D. Don't get me started on him.

there are no nationally renowned san shou schools in dallas.
there are only 5 or so top notch san shou programs in the u.s., one of them is in texas, houston kickboxing, but that doesnt do you much good in dallas. there probably are some tranditional cma programs that happen to have san shou programs, which is a sign that the gym may be decent as far as traditional is concerned. but a focused internationally competitive sanda program is a whole other animal of sorts, and that is what i would recommend for your friend if he's really interested in sanshou/sanda.

if he wants to find a decent fighting school w/in cma, have him go to the tai chi legacy event in dallas next week, one of the events is lei tai san shou (should be a mix of mostly local b & c level fighters, none of the top sanda teams are going to that as far as i know... so it won't be the best example of san shou), have him meet and talk to various coaches and fighters there, they could probably point him in the right direction to find some local san shou.

Mr Jones, link you posted, did that person learn from Adam Hsu?

I used to live in Dallas (moving to Cali). Not very many good schools for actually applying CMA. I don't even participate in tournaments or any of that, waste of time. Since I practice IMA, it is not important every little fine detail, but rather if alignment, body mechanics, and intent is right (thats all I care about anyways). I then find a very lose and adaptable way of applying the core of what I learn. Lots of McDojo's and waste of time around here.

I wonder who the author of website learned MizongQuan (lost track) from.
