so what are you people telling me to do? change my diet completely?

Usually, at school, I forget breakfast, or eat a piece of fruit, then and school steal one of my friends sandwiches, then eat quite a large meal at dinner time. Ususally with rice/pasta, meat or fish, and vegetables. As for the book, Im considering buying it. Im not sure though

Also give up all red meat and other stuff.
    STOP!!

Normally, I'd say I was grappling, but I was taking down and mounting people, and JFS has kindly informed us that takedowns and being mounted are neither grappling nor anti grappling, so I'm not sure what the **** I was doing. Maybe schroedinger's sparring, where it's neither grappling nor anti-grappling until somoene observes it and collapses the waveform, and then I RNC a cat to death.----fatherdog

    Sanovarak,
Your eating pattern is all wrong.

    I know. I know.

I need to get it right, I guess. Do you think 2hrs of kickboxing / week is sufficient for cardiovascular stuff? on top of that Ill probably be doing a jiu jitsu and BJJ class / week, maybe 2

Hmm.. Lets eat like people did 30,000 years ago. We can try and survive primarily on grubs and berries and high fibre, low energy fruits, eat meat once every week, week and a half. Then we can maybe have our female counterparts make it through a child birth or two with a high infant mortality rate and all die in our mid twenties.

Sounds like fun! Where do I sign up? I've been looking for a change in my life style that would have me dead already!

OR how about you just eat in moderation, or excessibly and still live three times as long. Atkins is dead, as he should be (let's see his kidneys), and how about we just try and eat those lovely pastas and complex carbs in moderation.

Also there is not a single aspect of early human life that is in any way better than what the majority of us have today, particularly in western countries.

If you think otherwise you have been reading romanticized versions of history and do a little research.

Running does work the abs .. especially hurdles. I have a three hurdle course that I set up in my yard and do laps on at a sprint. The hurdles are just the wire from inside those campaign signs (the larger ones) that people put in their yards. These are high hurdles that I hop over with both legs. I also use tomato cages and bean poles for regular hurdles (you can adjust the height on them) .. all of this stuff can be set up and torn down fairly easy.

    * Running laps on a short course is fine for hops but to do the actual hurdler technique (like in track and field) you need more distance.

    * Watch your heart rate. Sprints will take a LOT more out of you than 500 crunches or whatever.

    Wastrel,

Enough of it is a viable protein source! I'm sorry, you have to understand, Deus has been talking to me lately about rubbing his cup on my chin come June, so my mind is in the gutter.

    It's all Deus's fault.

Right now I am eating three chicken quesotillas with a HUGE portion of potato salad. Hope I don't get diabetes!

There are no exercises for the stomach muscle. It's part of your digestive system.

    Sorry, couldn't resist.

    Testosterone Magazine

For nutrition I recommend doing a search at Testosterone Magazine for John Berardi. Look for his "Don't Diet" and "Massive Eating" articles. For ab training try "Evolution of Ab Training" by Chris Shugart and "Awesome Abs" by Ian King. But remember, if you're not on a hypocaloric diet then you won't reduce the fat tissue that "covers" the abdominals. Spot reduction is a fitness industry myth used to sell ab gadgets and 8 minute workout videos.
