I think I am stating the obvious here but Eddie's seminar is on July 22 and Marcelo's seminar is on August 26 and 27. Why not do them both? If I had to choose, I'd go with Marcelo. Love those arm drags.

Also, to be honest, after enduring a couple of years of Brazilian black belt Portuglish, it was a relief to get instruction in fluent English. I don't know what Garcia's language skills are like, but you might take that into account.
The DVDs I have of him are him speaking Portuguese with English dubbed over it; judging from this, he will probably be speaking through an interpreter.

BTW, worst "Portuglish" ever: in a Vitor Belfort instructional I downloaded, he said he was "very know about boxing." There was more, but that's all I remember and I deleted the file.

The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris

I'd love to learn from either, but I'm not flexible enough to do the **** I see eddie do, so I'd probably pass on his seminar.

I am a huge Marcelo Garcia fan and even though I have two of his series DvD sets I would still love attend one of his seminars.

The Garcia seminars seem to be more elusive than Bravo seminars. Besides you can just go to CA and attend a week at Eddie's school.

So Aeso, what's the verdict here? Did you decide or have you already gone? We need a sit rep on your experience.
