Even guys who just wrestled in HS can be very good. After all, HS is four years, thats alot of training. After like 6 months of bjj I felt I had a good sprawl, and I did against the bjj guys I rolled with. A guy fresh out of HS rolled in. He had been on the wrestling team. He proceded to open up a takedown clinic on me.

Although I'm sure this will cause a riot of internet jokes, Breaststroke. I also did IM but my Fly sucked. Ironically my Butterfly form is better now. I think it's because I'm looser in the shoulders now that I'm out of shape and I float more now that I'm fat! Originally Posted by It is Fake??

Style: BJJ, Wrestling--
wrestling gave me an advantage in BJJ that most guys couldnt match - ground controll and spatial skills.
i can also take them down at will (keep your chin down, avoid a guillotine)and escape when they have my back with poor hooks with a granby roll.
they are also HUGE suckers for inside switches. its also very natural to land in a "cow boy" head and arm". side control feels very natural. i also feel that most of the sweeps from the guard are ineffective becuase i can feel them from 3.6 miles away and know to shift my weight.
just my experiance.
