Breaking a joint is submission? :P I'd say that'd be pretty damn effective. Especially if you're used to taking punches to the head while trying to lock someone up.

Would be really bad for everyone involved of course.

Stuff like that makes me think that practicing BJJ with a knife could be extremely nasty. So so nasty.

    But nevermind me.

BJJ with a knife? No thanks. Knives are for stabbing, not using with submissions. What's next? BJJ and a M240? BJJ and an M1 tank?

It does. Many of the throws in Judo are almost exactly like what you find in other armored grappling school. Ofcourse some of the Judo throws are modified to cause less damage when executed, as per Kano's vision.

If the RBSD dorks were serious about the street, they'd put a gi on with MMA training gloves and a head gear and go at it in a cage or ring. Add a training knife and goggles for knife work, a simmunations gun for firearms, or a wiffle ball bat for club defense.
Well that the thing. Most RSBD dorks aren't serious about the street. They think a few tricks and a gadegt with halfass training is all they need.

You can't practice Judo just to win a Judo Match! You practice so that no matter what happens, you can win using Judo!
