I love that spinning back kick. Personally I think that's what won him the match.

I wish I could get a good spinning back kick. It's really effective if you're fast enough. I am not.

If you don't train for it it will hurt you baaaaad.
I'm interested to learn how you train for it? I'm hoping you mean training how to block them, not training how to take them.

The first video looked real sloppy all around with one exception. That spinning back kick was very nicely done. I will have to say your boy looked much better then the other guy tho. All he did was stand straight up and swing both arms.

The second vid was just plain classic. I'm guessing he wasn't prepared to block those low kicks correctly. He seemed to be trying to block them with his thigh.

Overall awesome job for your buddy.

I like the second video, reminds me of me.
Tough is not how you act, tough is how you train.

Would this be the Troy Miller that owns High Desert Martial Arts in Grand Junction Colorado?

ugh, Manu has been having us practice the spinning back kick lately and I get so fucking dizzy. There's pretty much no way I'd land it on anyone that didn't stand completely still for me right now.

Ah yes Troy. The former owner of Sirc's last TKD school.

I was wondering what he was up to.
