Jason Alexander on JKL
Did anyone see Jason Alexander (George from Seinfeld) on Jimmy Kimmel Live recently giving a martial arts demo? Any thoughts? Anyone know his level of expertise?
What about other "celebrity martial artists" (celebs that practice MA but are not famous because of it)? I suspect most are blowing smoke, but are any of them any good?
I discovered a number of celebs listed in the martial arts category on Wikipedia (link), such as Freddie Prinze Jr, Elvis, et al, who I would never think of as "martial artists," so I'm curious.
I read something about Jack Black doing Judo when he was a kid.
He's discussed it in the past and is a commited martial artisit. I don't know what his style is but I believe it involves using his Seinfeld money to pay whoever he wants to beat up whomever bugs him.
Not . . . that there is anything wrong with that.
Didnīt Elvis buy his black belt or something?
As memory serves from an interview on the Howard Stern Show, Alexander was a Karate man (perhaps even Kyokoushini). Claimed that he did use it against a mugger or in a fight before he became famous.
Se said he still practices, but is doing his own thing based on Karate and cross training he has done since.
Michael Jai White is probably one of the best, and sadly least used, celb MArtist. Always been a fan of his and he is featured in this months Muscle & Fitness.
Xiao Ao Jiang Hu Zhi Dong Fang Bu Bai (Laughing Proud Warrior Invincible Asia) Dark Emperor of Baji!!!
Didn't anyone ever tell him a fat man could never be a ninja
You can't practice Judo just to win a Judo Match! You practice so that no matter what happens, you can win using Judo!
The key to fighting two men at once is to be much tougher than both of them.
South Park creator Trey Parker has a black belt in TKD, according to Wikipedia:
