    Ok, look dandoe,

    A blue gi is +5 Dexterity +3 Strength and you get a bonus to Chokes
    A white gi is +5 Constitution +3 Wisdom and you get a bonus to Armlocks
    A black gi is +5 Strength +5 Dexterity +2 Wisdom, but is considered cursed and all Luck rolls have a -3 penalty and you lose 1 point of Charisma

    Also, each patch is a +1 to AC, but you can only have two patches per limb section

    no. only two patches COUNT per limb section. and there's no limit on the trunk, anyway.

    patches on the inside, through... that's a whole nother ball game.

    You're right. Only the first two patches count for bonus AC, the rest are decorative only.

    Patches on the inside cause 1d4 Nipple Chafing damage per position change, no bonuses.

    I never thought of this. I have a gi I should but patches on the inside (or sew some tshirt material in to prevent chaffing.

    Oh well that gi is basically dead now anyway.

    What rules are YOU playing by?

    White Gi has a +1 to guard pass.

    Blue Gi gives you a +1 to charisma, +1 to wisdom, +1 to dexterity +1 to armbars.

    Black Gi only gives +2 to charisma but +1 to all escapes and sweeps.

    New rules also have bonuses for the different belts you're wearing combined with the gi you're wearing.

    For example, a black belt gives you +10 to all stats. With a black gi, it will give you the +2 to charisma AND +3 to dexterity.

    I don't play by those silly little 3e BJJ rules. I prefer my 2nd edition Judo rules that don't encourage twinking of players.

    The black belt is an artifact and thus very very rare, most players should just concentrate on lower level gear. Plus, as all artifacts, it comes with side effects. In the case of the Black Belt it comes with the Nutriding curse.

    Don't forget the Holy mission to Brazil, should you choose to accept it, where if your game is strong enough you can journey through South America to search out a hidden cave on the south side of killamanjaro where the legendary +5 Wand Limited Edition Koral Gi of Devistation is supposedley found amognst an army of ninjers and rouge capoaria (sp?)
    fighters.
