The title says most of it.
Its being run by Nathan Leverton tomorrow afternoon for 5 hours.
I know that its going to kill me, but other than that, what should I expect?

Keep your arms in, and keep bucking when underneath...
Don't use strength, but find 'holes' to move in...

I've trained at Leicester Shootfighters a few times, and I'm going to train there this summer.
You should expect some greco pummeling, takedowns, groundfighting, submission work, and striking skills. Shootfighting covers all the ranges and has striking and submissions (no striking on the ground though).

Saturday was not good for me. In the morning I did 3 hours of escrima, and I got some nasty blisters and welts from it. The afternoon just fucked me up.
He decided to do the course purely on working from the guard, drilling various moves over and over. I haven't been so tired in years.
On the bright side, I loved it.
It was nice to see all the same principles from aikido being used, even though they weren't described as being principles.
Once I've finished buying my house (about another 4 weeks or so) I'm going to start going to Karl Tanswells class on saturdays.

That is probably the most inappropriate use of a forum graphic I've ever seen in my life.

Shootfighting doesn't belong in MMA forum ?
Hey I learnt something today...
Anyway, could someone please clear up something for me:
What is shootfighting ?
Is it the same thing as submission grappling?
I'm looking at a new center to train in at the moment.
It offer BJJ classes and for a little bit extra, shootfighting as well.
So whats the difference ?
