Yes. Guys wearing costumes (even if they ARE armed).
No WAY! They got R34L guns!
Meh. Little of column A, little of column B...
Uhm. What's CAS?

One one hand, you have to wear a (goofy, IMO) costume.
On the other hand, you're using real guns :).
It just so happens that this fine, matched pair of Rugers is on the approved list for modern SA revolvers. The one on top is the Ruger Super Blackhawk in .44 mangum, the bottom is a Ruger New Model Blackhawk in .45 Long Colt.
So, I'm thinking of joining a CAS club. A quick search didn't turn up any recent discussion... Any memebers?

Cowboy action shooting is LARPing. But thats what it's meant to be.

Of course, just because it's LARPing doesnt mean you cant learn real pistol skills.

Anything that isn't BJJ is LARPing.
Seriously, I am not sure what CAS is.
Do you eat breakfast?

I think LARPing, though dorky, still sounds like a lot of fun in a lot of instances. Pretending to be a cowboy and shooting old timey revolvers sounds like it could be a lot of fun.

Cowboy Action Shooting? Do you have duels? WTF do you do?
Sounds like LARPing.
D'oh! I hit post, before I put in the link...
For those who don't know:
The Single Action Shooting Society promotes a "sport" called Cowboy Action Shooting.
I just like an excuse to shoot my .44 ...
CAS may be LARPing, but i bet you could apply it elsewhere.
I once fired from the hip very successfully.
Legal-fu FTW, btw.
edit: Oh yeah. Those are sweet guns.
