The religions of comic book characters

Seriously.... I thought there would be more athiests than that.

    I love J. Jonah Jameson's relgion: "Hates Spider-man".

Don't hate me. Plus the fark link goes to like CNBC, I followed links from THAT link to this much more ocmplete list.

Each character has a link to the explaination and analysis of their religious affiliation and there's some really good stuff in there.

Whaaa? I just assumed Clark Kent was Protestant - if you wanna be an all-american, apple pie eating, flag waving boy scout, you ought to be Protestant.

I was told by my teacher, in the 8th grade, who stuided hebrew and was a big comic book nut. That Super Man was supposed to be the Jewish equivilent of the nazi "Ubber Mench"(sp?). Shuster and Siegel supposedly made the character to tick of the Nazi's. I was also told that Kal El means somthing in hebrew. I forget exactly what it means.

Quote from the new superman movie as spoken by Jor-el- sup's daddy

"They can be a great people ... They only lack the light to show the way. For this reason above all—their capacity for good—I've sent them you, my only son."

Superman is Jesus and thus Jewish + founder of Christianity, so he's kewl with everyone ^_^.

"el" is a commonly used suffix in the names of angels: Gabri-el, Micha-el, Rapha-el.
I dont know what "el" actually means or what "kal" is supposed to represent.

*wiki says : "Kal-El," resembles the Hebrew words קל-אל, whuch means "voice of God." Anyone know Hebrew? Also, it seems the original spelling was "Kal-L".

It is fairly obvious that the best superheroes are athiests/agnostic or gypsies.

Iron Man is an athiest/agnostic, etc.

And Dr. Doom is a gypsy.

I don't know why they keep saying magneto was jewish. Unless they changed it then when I stopped reading comics a while ago he was put into auschwitz because he was a gypsy. It was never really clear that he was jewish.

"Orgazmo Joe Young California-Los Angeles Mission Kuzui Enterprises, etc. Latter-day Saint"

The fact that the list has this in it rules.
