    MMA LARPING

With the popularity of UFC it's bound to happen. Like the Kung Fu craze in the 70's Karate in the 80's and backyard wrestling on the 90's. MMA is going to become the new BS style adopted by posers and wannabe's

Check out this guy he's 18 and a TKD "World Champ" with self taught grappling skills with a 6 and 0 record in MMA - fighting in the Personal MMA federation.

I am sure this is joke website it can't possibly be real right?

Not yet. Frankly he's an 18 year old kid playing MMA fantasy. His bio says

"This welterweight has won battles against more heavyweights than he can shake his glove at, leaving one unconscious, two broken, three beaten, one bloody, and one narrowly holding on to life. But even with all of these wins over heavyweights, he also has wins over fighters his size and weight class, ensuring him only one loss, to a heavyweight. His many wins have allowed him to win, and retain, two personal titles in a local MMA federation."
If someone reads this and can't figure out he's full of **** Bullshido can't help.

I brought it up because I think this is the new trend in martial arts. People adding some crappling to their shitty striking, and calling what they do MMA and passing themselves off as MMA fighters.

i've now met 3 people who, after me noticing their Tapout gear and asking where they train, have replied with "oh, just with my friends in the basement"

Aren't AnnaT and Kidspatula in Kentucky? Maybe they could go over and straighten this moron out.

Only a total Larping egomaniac would compare his TKD striking skills to be on par with Chuck Liddel and Maurice Smith.

we're in Georgia, actually. Backfist Monkey and Garbanzo Bean and I think Khornelius Praxx are in Kentucky, though.

My mistake, for some reason I thought you guys were in KY.

I think Garbanzo Bean might have gone off on Military duty, but maybe the others could check this place out.

Posers and wannabees will always imitate what they percieve as the "baddest" thing. As long as the main body of MMA'ers don't sell out and keep up the "put up or shut up" routine, they shouldn't become too big of a problem (as with most TMA schools).
