Judo is sweet... my takedowns need some work, so maybe someday...
I'll probably get my kids into it as their first martial art, and teach them BJJ myself.

Hey Guys, I'm looking at going to U of O next year and would LOOOOVE to train at Takahashi dojo. I'm currently at UWO and Ray Takahashi is our wrestling coach, and man is that guy fantastic.

I wanted to ask though, how big are their classes? What's the student to instructor ratio?

Sweet! That's a lot smaller than I had thought. I will definitely check out the club when I move up there! Thanks a lot!

Anyone still training here? What are the prices like now (I know that last post were 2 years ago).

I just started Judo and thinking about going here when funds allow it (I think Masao Takahashi is now the only 9th dan in Cananda?)

You are very fortunate to work with the Takahashi's.

Sorry for necroing this thread but has anyone tried their Jiu-Jitsu program? Their website says it currently happens on Wednesday evenings. I'm just wondering how practical it is, how much real rolling or groundfighting they do, etc.
