I have a pair of the 15 lbs. I haven't had them for about 2 years (they were back in Hawaii), but I brought them back with me on my last trip. When I was using them regularly, my grip strength and grip endurance were fantastic. I was regularly fighting with Dogzilla, and about 2 weeks after I started using them, he made a comment about me seeming to be able to hit harder. So for the FMAs, there is a direct carryover effect.
On a personal note, I just like the way my shoulders feel when I'm using them regularly. Much more resilient, with a loose strength. Good range of flexibility and power generation. But I reiterate that I am a stickfighter first and foremost, so my criteria may be different than yours.

Ha - ok, fair enough - i knew at least 1/2 the posts on this thread would be rediculous.
So poidog - what were your favorite movements/techniques with the clubbells?
Can you remember any workouts you particularly liked?
Did you generally do a whole clubbell workout or integrate it into a larger circuit training routine?

Any/all feedback would be appreciated muchly, even if it is nothing more than a link to a good page. -

Ok... well I'm still hoping that some experienced users might contribute their experiences w/ these training tools...
But for anyone who cares, I found a link that might be useful:
Introductory Clubbell Workout
Now, keep in mind that I've only done this workout 1x w/ 1 10# clubbell (homemade), so I can't really review it.
I'm going to continue doing this 2-3x/week for a few weeks, then maybe I'll write up a review.
We'll see.-Jordan -

Ok, time for a few more links...
Oldschool (1860s) Clubbell Workout #1
Oldschool (1880s) Clubbell Workout #2
1949 YMCA Clubbell Workout
Ok... so here's the way people have historically used clubbells (apparantly).
