It's not necessary wrong it is just easier to escape. In addition, it puts you in a bad position if you wind up on your belly, if the guy [ or gal] slips the the lock you are essenital SOL , on your belly, facing the wrong way. :cya:

I train BJJ because a) I don't know a Judo club anywhere around here and b) many Judo clubs have a focus on fighting under Judo comp rules (which are sort of shitty) while a lot of BJJ schools (at least, the one I train at) have a focus on MMA. I know that there's a Judo club in Tulsa (Olorinii trains there, I think) and no BJJ that I know about, so I'll probably start there to work my takedowns when I get back there.
Speaking of Tulsa, which club did you bounce at?
