Why can't they just live with knowing that they can contribute to something great without being #1 and in the spotlight the whole time.

Royce Gracie Loses but MMA Wins! is much more fitting.

    Becuase they are a$$holes!

I think this little "Oh we are the Gracies WE ARE GREAT" will backfire on these guys. I think everyone is reading his PR and saying WTF several of MAtt's moves were folkstyle wrestling (not all but some) I mean Rorion acts as though they invented the sidelock and under hooks. This is just an example of that Machismo crap that plagues my mother's side of my family and most latin men. The best thing we can do now is ignore the Gracies ( not BJJ) and let them fade into obscurity. I am sure BJJ will be around for a long time.lets face the Gracies may rule in Brazil but here in America they are just another part of pop culture and will be footnote in twenty years.:icon_roll

Can we all just agree that BJJ = modified judo, and no one on Earth practices koryu jujitsu anymore?

    Thanks.

As long as we agree that aikido=modified Tai ChI Chuan.

Isn't taking both kind of redundant?

That is something that will never be seen because mma doesn't allow spine attacks, kneeing on the ground, or slamming on the head.

    From the Pride site:

"3 No strikes (kicks, elbows, punching) to the back of the head (which includes the occipital region and the spine). The sides of the head and the area around the ears are not considered to be the back of the head."

"9 No kicks or knees to the head or the face of an opponent who falls face down."

Don't quote rules watch the fights.

Why you put nine on there makes no sense. Unless you don't understand the purpose of that rule.
