Stupid refs never give you enough time to work the ground game so that's why not enough judoka schools do newaza. I think my club trains so much on the ground because our instructor credits his wins to both lots of chokes and lots of throws. From his videos people in the Para-Olympics seem to get more ground time.

barring a few throws that I just don't think would work and a few more that would require "perfect timing" I think Judo is awesome. Sieonage, the big O, Tai Otoshi are all awesome throws. And if your school concentrates on ground grappling that is a plus as well.
