...Can't see it b/c I'm at work and my comp doesn't have Flash...but is this the fight from the recent Strikeforce event where Frank Shamrock fought Cesar Gracie?
If so, then that would be Le's first pro fight in MMA...it's true that his ground skills are untested because his original sport (San Shou) doesn't allow for ground fighting, just strikes, clinch work, and takedowns... -

Cung Le is a total badass and I'd love to see him continue and dominate in MMA, but I don't think that will happen. As far as I know he's semi retired from competitive fighting and just did this fight to help promote the UFC in California. But who knows. I've never seen his ground fighting though, so it may be a weak spot for him.
I'd certainly love to see Kung Fu get some more representation in the UFC. Maybe then you BJJ/Muay Thai nutriders would stop talking so much snit. :new_llyin -

Mike was outclassed on his feet and never even attempted a takedown, despite having a BJJ background. So despite being a MMA ring, this looked a awful lot like a kickboxing match with smaller gloves, there wasn't really any clinch work either.
Would be interesting to see how he fairs against someone that is looking for submissions or ground and pound.Last edited by Andrew Green; 5/31/2006 11:32am at .
