The only thing Sanshou has to do with kung fu is that it's a chinese sport.

How does outlawing a certain kind of strike have anything to do with outlawing any kind of wrestling?

I'm here to help, so if you need to know how to support a point, just ask. Or are you still stuck on the having a point part?

I suppose San Shou is Kung fu in the sense that cooking or soccer is kung fu in that it's a skill.

and you keep telling yourself otherwise. It's a shame the success of Cung Le makes kung fu chumps feel better about their half assed training.

    More fun with pictures:

First, Sean doing something that I'm sure you think is total bullshit.

Second, Sean beating someone's ass in a full contact fight.

As you can see, Kung Fu and full contact fighting are not mutually exclusive.

It's funny how the only people who claim that San Shou isn't King Fu are people who neither train in Kung Fu or specifically San Shou. They are also usually MT fighters. Hmmm.....

I trained to fight in san shou at my kung fu school.

Kung Fu was the base on which my training was built on. Every san shou fighter I have met has practised kung fu as well, but I only know a handful.

Beaton.. San Shou is China's version of Muay Thai. After a bunch of Chinese Kung Fu "experts" kept getting their asses beat by the Thai fighters they woke up and tried to make an art that would be effective against Muay Thai. That's how San Shou was born.

The fact that he also learns to dance in addition to fighting means very little.

You are merely a confused Muay Thai fighter.
