    As far as one of the performers is grabbing the "blade" of the bokken, they're demostrating "how do lose fingers in front of enjoyed partner". That is a very "advanced" and "secret" kata.

    No, although those guys are local to me and I have met them.

    This picture was taken long after aikido and I went our separate ways, and I was not present at its taking.

    I think it was a disarming tecnique. The jumping guy has the weapon taken away from his hands and at the moment the pic was taken he's jumping away to avoid being cutted by the bearded guy.

    But all of these done without proper angle, distance, posture, relative position and general skill.
