  • No. I agree Royce is a terribly overrated fighter and this nutriding is getting tiresome.

Apparently, MMA is now the anti-grappling.

Boyd, the people you're referring to rely on Spike TV as their sole source of MMA-related information. Are you genuinely surprised that they didn't have their critical thinking hats on for this one? With the right hype, many of them would have bet on Dustin Ngyuen.

As for Hughes, given Royce’s contribution to his own bread and butter, it's absolutely natural that his conscience is twanging with every remembrance of the ass mastery he just delivered.

My only surprise with the event was that Helio didn’t emerge from his body as spectral energy and obliterate Hughes from within. I think he was still coming down the aisle when the fight ended.

I watched the fight with a group of n00bs and brought a buddy who's a purple (even though he denies it and claims to still be a blue belt) belt with me. I felt really bad when the betting came up for the Royce/Hughes fight. I wanted Royce to win so bad but knew there just wasn't any way it was going to happen. All the new fans bet on Royce, we were the only two to put money on Hughes.
