This guy doesn't do charity work. He's exclusively out to line his pockets and make himself more powerful. He's a blight on christianity. Poverty of christ my ass.A lie gets half-way around the world before the truth has time to get it's pants on. - Winston Churchhill

Here's a link to a video of Pat attempting a 1000 lbs leg press. I say "attempting", but I'm being quite generous. I mean, I'll give the guy credit for being 76 and moving the plates at all, but what he's doing isn't a leg press by any stretch of the imagination.

Fundie Christians will generally believe whatever they want to no matter what the burden of evidence against their beliefs are. I know that's stating the obvious, but the implications of this apparent fact generally go unnoticed quit often. People delegate to the them an at least partially rational mind... quite mistakenly.A lie gets half-way around the world before the truth has time to get it's pants on. - Winston Churchhill

This is part and parcel of cult behavior. You all see it here in the denial of those who defend various bullshido and outright martial arts cults.
For Robertson and other "faith healers" specifically, I recommend James Randi's The Faith Healers. Unfortunately, the people who need to read it refuse to do so--"must be full of lies."
However, as with martial arts cultists, a strong and hard approach may not work. Telling some Ninja-Teen his is "full of ****, a *****, and t3h g4y" tends to make him scurry further into his cult. Same with Christians.

Dr. James Dobson http://www.wcla.org/98-summer/su98-19.html
"We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity. We weren't punctilious about locating and punishing only Hitler and his top officers. We carpet-bombed German cities; we killed civilians. That's war. And this is war."
Ann Coulter, This is War column, Sept. 13, 2001
"And, I know that I'll hear from them for this. But, throwing God out successfully with the help of the federal court system, throwing God out of the public square, out of the schools. The abortionists have got to bear some burden for this because God will not be mocked. And when we destroy 40 million little innocent babies, we make God mad. I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People For the American Way - all of them who have tried to secularize America - I point the finger in their face and say 'you helped this happen'."
Thursday, Sept. 13, 2001--Rev. Jerry Falwell, in an appearance on Pat Robertson's The 700 Club
"The feminist agenda is not about equal rights for women. It is about a socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism, and become lesbians."

"It's like guerrilla warfare. If you reveal your location, all it does is allow your opponent to improve his artillery bearings. It's better to move quietly, with stealth, under cover of night. You've got two choices: You can wear cammies and shimmy along on your belly, or you can put on a red coat and stand up for everyone to see. It comes down to whether you want to be the British army in the Revolutionary War or the Viet Cong. History tells us which tactic was more effective."
-- Ralph Reed, Los Angeles Times, March 22, 1992, admitting that he wants to deceive us regarding his true aims
"We may be the generation that sees Armageddon."
-- Ronald Reagan, in a 1980 interview with criminal televangelist Jim Bakker, quoted from "A Brief History of the Apocalypse"

-- William Rehnquist, Dissenting Opinion in Wallace v. Jaffree (1985)
"The Media is ruled by Satan. But yet I wonder if many Christians fully understand that. Also, will they believe what the Media says, considering that its aim is to steal, kill, and destroy?"
-- Rev. Jimmy Swaggart, The Evangelist, January 1988
"I want you to just let a wave of intolerance wash over you. I want you to let a wave of hatred wash over you. Yes, hate is good.... Our goal is a Christian nation. We have a Biblical duty, we are called by God, to conquer this country. We don't want equal time. We don't want pluralism."
-- Randall Terry, quoted in The News-Sentinel, Fort Wayne, Indiana, August 16, 1993

"Now when homosexuals, or adulterers, or fornicators, or pedophiles, or beast fornicators and beast suckers, or any sexual outlaws, parade themselves around as if they could be followers of Jesus Christ, they demonstrate a lie and blasphemy and abomination."
"By Godís grace, weíve raised up 60 Do What Jesus Did (DWJD) healing and deliverance teams across America, half of them established just this year. But itís not enough. --Ousted Orange County, Calif., Congressman Bob Dornan to The Wall Street Journal. Dornan, rabidly anti-gay, lost to gay-friendly Loretta Sanchez by a few hundred votes.
"Regrettably, the spirit of "tolerance" seems to have a strong grip upon the American psyche. It may take a family tragedy to awaken parents to the reality of what is happening to their sons. Will parents have to endure the trauma of discovering their son has been molested by a homosexual Scout leader or infected with AIDS before they realize that "tolerance" of homosexuality leads to death?"
--Rev. Louis P. Sheldon
"We are approaching a time when Christians, especially, may have to declare the social contract between Enlightenment rationalists and Biblical believers - which formed the basis of the constitution written at our nation's founding - null and void."
--Cal Thomas, conservative commentator; Washington Times, 1996-OCT-23
"The long-term goal of Christians in politics should be to gain exclusive control over the franchise. Those who refuse to submit publicly to the eternal sanctions of God by submitting to His Church's public marks of the covenant--baptism and holy communion--must be denied citizenship, just as they were in ancient Israel."
