    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    UFC 60 Pick'em

Matt Hughes Vs. Royce Gracie - I know I'm nuts but I swear I've been calling upset on this since it was announced (point finger and laugh later). Royce via submission.

Alessio Sakara Vs. Dean Lister - Tough for me to call this one...Sakara by decision.

Brandon Vera Vs. Assuerio Silva - Losers will be audience by boredom. Vera via late, 3rd round TKO/Ref Stoppage.
Mike Swick Vs. Joe Riggs - Swick by 1st round KO.
Diego Sanchez Vs. John Alessio - Sanchez by brutal GNP round 1.

    UFC 60 PRELIM CARD

Melvin Guillard Vs. Rick Davis - Don't know much about either, I'll be a dick and take Guillard by 2nd Round KO.
Spencer Fisher Vs. Matt Wiman - Fisher by 2nd Round KO.
Gabriel Gonzaga Vs. Fabiano Scherner - Scherned by Round 1 Submission
Jeremy Horn Vs. Chael Sonnen - Horn wins for the third time via 2nd Round Submission.

    GG
    MMA Record vs Llamas 0-1-0
(The Llama bit my junk but the ref didn't see it).

    Hell yeah! Hell no!
Horn vs. Sonnen - Horn, Submission

Ganzaga vs. Scherner - Hmm, that's a tough one. Who can bore the other into submission...I'll go with Ganzaga by what will feel like a 10-round decision(Just kidding, sometimes I really like technical ground battles- not that they'll air this one)

Edit: I suppose I should have read your post before I made a comment about a boring match, even though I was referring to a different fight than you were.

Sakara vs. Lister - Lister by sub.

Fisher vs. Wiman - Fisher by KO.

Guillard vs. ...who? Oh yeah, Rick Davis - Guillard by TKO/KO.

Sanchez vs. Alessio - Sanchez will retire undefeated unless he starts fighting top-tier competition. But I'll give Joe Silva the benefit of the doubt and assume this is a tune-up fight for Sanchez. He is recovering from a radical virus, after all.

Swick vs. Riggs - Ri...Swi...J...M...good question. Pretty well everyone seems to think Riggs, but even the two fights I've seen Swick lose, he's done a damn good job of controlling. I pick Swick...and I like Ike. Decision.

    Vera vs. Silva - Vera.

Hughes vs. Royce - Rickson by armbar...to avenge his brother's death.

    Edit:

Hughes by a boring lay-and-prey decision. Maybe a 20-30% chance of Royce submitting Hughes though, I think it could happen (watch Hughes' fight with Newton if you don't agree).

Lister by submission round 2 I guess.

Vera vs Silva? Tough call. I'd say Vera by anything (he's well-rounded) but I haven't seen enough of Silva to know what his skillset includes. His guard-pulling against Silvia leads me to assume he has good ground skills, and his striking looked pretty clean in that fight too. I'm predicting a good fight at least.

Swick beats Riggs in round 1 by something. GnP or KO.

    Diego by GnP round 1.

Melvin Guillard Vs. Rick Davis - don't know Rick Davis. Guillard ftw if he learned enough submission defense.
Spencer Fisher Vs. Matt Wiman - Fisher I guess, probably decision.
Gabriel Gonzaga Vs. Fabiano Scherner - I don't know either fighter.
Jeremy Horn Vs. Chael Sonnen - Horn by about 100 fights.

Oh, totally. I've been looking forward to that for weeks now.

Matt Hughes Vs. Royce Gracie - Hughes via G'nP, 1st rd stoppage.

Alessio Sakara Vs. Dean Lister - Lister by sub.

Brandon Vera Vs. Assuerio Silva - "Losers will be audience by boredom."
I disagree. I think it'll be a great fight. Vera by ref stoppage.

Mike Swick Vs. Joe Riggs - Swick by 1st round KO.

Diego Sanchez Vs. John Alessio - Sanchez by brutal GNP round 1.

    PRELIMS

Melvin Guillard Vs. Rick Davis - Guillard by KO

Spencer Fisher Vs. Matt Wiman - Fisher by 2nd sub.

Gabriel Gonzaga Vs. Fabiano Scherner - THIS will be boring and suck. Scherner by unan. decision.

Jeremy Horn Vs. Chael Sonnen - Horn , another boring decision win. Yay Horn.

Hughes/Royce - Hughes by TKO (death) rd 1
    Sakara/Lister - Lister sub
Vera/Silva - I got to train with Vera a little the other week in between bouts of back spasms so I have to pick him. Vera KO rd 3
    Riggs/Swick - Riggs dec.
    Snachez/Alessio - Diego by TKO rd 1

I'll skip the prelims except Horn/Sonnen which Horn will win by decision.

    http://www.sj-r.com/frontpages/052506Page1.pdf

Matt Hughes featured on the front page of the Springfield State Journal-Register. . . . no big deal.

However, what I couldn't help but notice is that this article contained NO factual errors I could find, and exactly NO silly allusions to the disgusting and inhuman brutality of the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

    That's kinda neat.
(Hughes' hometown of Hillsboro is about an hour from Springfield, the capital of IL.)

Anyway, I'm going to take Hughes, Lister by sub, Silva, Swick, and Sanchez. Boring picks, but there you go.

    Everybody is picking Guillard.

Based on what I wonder? His incredible mouth? His stellar record of losing his last 2 fights or his win record?

Rick Davis has been training at LVCC, Cobra Kai, and Xyience Center for this fight. I think he will be ready. Win or lose he is genuinely a nice guy and a helluva nice guy. No matter what he will always be a better person that Melvin.
