That first video was like some sort of retarded osoto-gari/tsurikomi goshi hybrid where instead of slamming the bastard into the ground, you put him nicely back on his feet so that he can thank you for your enlightened martial arts skills by shanking you in the back.
And I think the second one comes from the Highlander ryu. At least, if anyone ever did that with a real Japanese sword, they'd be pleasantly surprised to find that katana don't like edge-to-edge contact all that much.--

Agreed. The balkanization of the Bujinkan at that point should be interesting to watch. So when are you going to start Shinbushi-Ryu? :)
EDIT: Or should that be Shinbushikan?

Question is for Shinbushi should I use shin as in new or true?

Definitely use "true". It will sound better on the business cards to be the school of the "True Warrior" instead of the "New Warrior"

Katana, you are 100% correct.
You seem to be describing alot of the people who I used to train in the Bujinkan with. They had this "God like" devotion to Hatsumi.
I'm glad I left the Bujinkan and took up Kyokushin Karate and Judo. What bugs me is why people in the Bujinkan think the way they do. How can they be so mislead ?
Any style is only as good as its training method. Take Judo or Muay Thai and remove the sparring element. Then you'd have a third rate martial art Bujinkan or Aikido.Hannibal: The sworn enemy of dishonest politicians, source of entertainment on Bullshido and newly appointed Office Linebacker. Theres an Aikido tournament in New York this fall Hannibal. I think Tomiki-ryu is the most popular style of Aikido in Australia so I'll have to look if they have tournaments there.
There was a Karate guy on Aikiweb who said he got his assed kicked by a Tomiki guy. He lived in Melourne or something. Not sure of what style though.
This resembles your Kyokushin Vs. Wado-ryu argument you had with Annatrocity creepy.

I don't know what kind of karate some chic who lives on the opposite side of the planet took, okay ?
I do know this though.
1. All Aikdo I have seen here is a joke. Just as bad if not worse than the Bujinakn I have experianced. The grappling they teach is nothing compared to Judo.
2. Most Kyokushin fighters out there would destroy most Aikido fighters. AIkido guys do not have the same conditioining and level of contact fighting Kyokushin fighters do.

That really wasn't the point Hannibal. Nevermind.
P.S. what time is it in Australia?
