the yamakasis, any members in here? i hear that the yamakasi movements are appearing world wide.... its a bit slow here, not many are aware of the group

i find yamakasi to be bit like ninjas, and its another good leverage when you can scale building to building while you opposistion is still clueless on the ground.

starting this thread in hopes that others with some knowledge can shed some light on the topic.

may not be martial arts but still is important.

Yamakasi was the original name of one of the first Parkour groups, and also the name of the first feature film to feature Parkour. Anyway, if you do a search for "Parkour" both here at Bullshido and via Google, you'll find plenty of info.

I've been trying to find a copy of the Yamakasi movie.

No luck. Even independant video places that have **** most people have never heard of raise an eyebrow at me and give me the WTF face when I ask about it.

edit: can't find it on the net to d/l either. it's pretty elusive.

I think It was either produced, or directed by Luc Besson.
That alone makes it worth watching.

yeah the movie is friggin good, its cuz of the movie i wanted to get into martial arts, though ya most dont consider something like this martial arts but its still something very beneficial for martial arts.

one scene where this two start scalling the house tryin to escape from guard dogs and they make the guard dogs run into each an other,

dont know if thats made up, but its really cool if you could do that to the opponent. haha
