I personally know a few Sanjuriu instructors. Sanjuriu is a system of self defense that teaches, in addition to able bodied adults, children, and the handicapped -- blind, crippled, mentally challenged, etc. The instructors analyze the student to determine where he/she is physically and mentally and helps him/her develop skills to defend him/her self. They do not tolerate the macho stuff or showing off no matter how great one thinks he may be.

Don't mean to cast stones but it sounds like you guys are the ones who are shoveling the bullshido. Do you need to ridicule or put someone else down in order to feel good about yourself?

No. It's not about US feeling good. I already feel good about my training. It is about ensuring quality in martial arts instruction and preventing the proliferation of ineffective instruction.

Making judgements on their fighting skill from a website would be kinda silly mostly because the webmaster is often not the head instructor. Instead, why don't you visit them in person then tell us about it?

I looke at the characters on their website and can offer the following tranlsations;

san = Three
ju= 1. heavy
2. important
3. serious
riu (verb)= 1. flow
2. move from place to place; drift
3. spread
4. change fo the worse; degenerate
5. banish; send into exile
(noun) 1. stream of water
2. something resembling a stream of water; current
3. class; rate; grade

Of course I am looking at the characters from a Chinese perspective, it is possible in Japanese they mean something different. But have fun!! come up with your own translation. "3 serious degenerate"

Someone should do a study of how long it takes for suppoters of a school to show up here after their school has been criticizied
