I've got to second that. I loved my Military- the thin profile, the blade size and the size of the grip... everything. But as soon as you see someone draw that Emmerson and it just *pops*... wow! That was all I needed to see.
I agree w/Don Gwinn- avoid the chisel blade. A friend of mine got a chiseled tonto blade and it ended up being a huge hassle. Stick with a wave.

Agreed. Chisel grind is ass for utility. Just my experience, YMMV. However, a good zero-ground chisel edge (like old-school Emerson customs) will cut "meat" like nothing...for my money though, I prefer a flat/"V" grind from the spine. I don't use knives for "social" purposes...well, haven't had to yet, anyway.
BJJ wins again!

BTW, the CUDA, in addition to having a 5.5 inch D2 blade and titanium grips (with a very strong framelock) can also be opened just like any "waved" blade by using the guard/flippers against your pocket the way you would use the wave.
I don't do it, but it works.
Ad Hominem rocks.

Tortion bar assisted opening! It's like being spring loaded, but its legal.

I rock the benchmade griptillian with the axis lock.
I have the blackened blade for extra ninja feel.
Love this knife.
