No. Haedong gumdo is different. Kumdo is basically Korean kendo, but haedong gumdo is more like Korean kenjutsu, if that makes any sense.

Haidong Kumdo = Eastern Sea Sword Art

I did it for awhile, I used it more of an exercise then anything for application.
