    Luis Gutierrez Interview

Luis Gutierrez, SBG Vice President and BJJ black belt, answers questions about how he started martial arts, using Play As The Way to coach kids and even adults, the future of MMA and where this leaves traditional arts, the development of the ISR program for law enforcement... and Iceland.

I could supply commentary... but just watch the video.

I liked the commentary, especially the ISR method for LEO training.

My old departments defensive tactics were retarded. There was little in the way of ground fighting and everyfight I ever saw at work went to the ground. A BJJ based method would work great, particularly for the females.

Aeso, has there been a video of ISR yet? I could send it to some guys on my old dept cause they tried to get some BJJ put into the syllabus but the Department managers want a packaged product to import.........

Edit: daigoro beat me to it. But anyway...

You can inquire about ordering it here:

    http://www.isrmatrix.org/order.shtml

You can also see some in the 2004 Spring Camp DVD Series:

I've also been talking to Luis so let me know if you have any questions about the program and I'll pass them on to him.

    Thanks guys.

I'll see if some of the guys have already brought it up with the department DT guys and I'll probably order them a copy.

info@onedragon.com - are you in South Florida. If so, you can always stop by his school in Pembroke Pines.

The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris
