Fixed blade tactical knife

You have some very good stuff there, but you can see it getting more expensive as you go along. :) You don't appear to have any silly stuff or anything made of pot metal, and that puts you light years ahead of the average right there. I personally have a vast collection of silly designs from United Cutlery made out of the same metal as your mom's lawn sprinkler salted away in tupperware someplace. They're scrap metal, but I can't part with them. When I was a kid, I thought they were both neato and keen.

I'm glad the Tracker does what it's supposed to do. There has been some talk of Brown not being all he's cracked up to be when it comes to survival instruction (I wouldn't know) but TOPS should be trustworthy.

There are a lot of knives out there with "sawteeth" simply cut into the back of the blade. They're not offset and they won't saw anything harder than warm dog poop. They were more common when I was a kid and everybody wanted a hollow-handle "survival knife" just like Rambo's.

Regarding the custom Becks, they're only available now on the resale market. Dave Beck stopped making them altogether a short time ago (and I think all of his other models) due to failing health. Pity, as I would have loved one of his Wolverine models (kind of like a MACV-SOG knife).

$350? Jeez, you could probably have one made custom for that much. Even the custom Becks went for $475. There are other makers out there, might flex Google-Fu on who's making what.

FWIW, mine saw a shitload of use as a wrecking tool in Iraq. There's just something about a medium-sized knife that chops almost as well as a full-sized hatchet...
