I think XIII had a pretty cool take on the usual FPS genre with the comic strip graphics.
There was supposed to be a sequel...but maybe it died in the ass.Wheels within wheels in a spiral array...

Its a bullshit point. Video games ARE for fun, fantasy, and 'harmless' amusement.
Nevertheless, well played."You know what I like about you, William? You like guns AND meditation."

Halo's graphics kicked ass, most can admit that. The weapons? Well, its hard for you to come up with any kind of original weapon in FPS these days.
However, the action was fast an extremely smooth, and kept moving along very quickly. I agree that comparing PC to console shooters is a waste of time. The pc version of Halo just wasn't as much fun.
Basically the gameplay wasn't that original, but it was extremely well done. The multiplayer was hectic and awesome, as at the time there weren't many games that could have 16 ppl in one room all playing each other (benefits of living in a dorm).
My favorite thing about Halo was the story, especially in Halo 2. It wasn't a super intelligent mystery with great plot twists, but it was fun as hell and you wanted to know how it ended.
Red Faction was an awesome game, although i didnt play the second one.
