IF they say they're teaching JKD concepts then they MUST be certified by either Dan or Larry etc (the 1st teir of the JKD org).
So, you can be assured you will learn "something" at the very least.
As for the similarities between certain parts of JKD training & WT
In short...yes you will be doing entering to trapping..AKA- jun-fan/modified WT.

As for Savate.....I much prefer MT kicking myself..savate is great for keeping distance, but for "ME"...I find MT way more effective, as I'm aggressive & like to move into elbow or knee range & hopefully go to ground as much as I can.
But that's just me..some/most ppl can use savate way more effectively than I.

Personally..no-one kicks or knees harder than a MT, kyokushin comes a close 2nd.
I use what works for ME!

    Cheers.

    I won my last fight by 3 fences & 2 backyards !!

Savate strikes me as good for the street; steel tipped shoes will do nice damage with toe strikes.

Of course, you all know why the French invented a foot-fighting art... It's because they needed their hands free, in case they had to surrender on short notice.

Normally, I'd say I was grappling, but I was taking down and mounting people, and JFS has kindly informed us that takedowns and being mounted are neither grappling nor anti grappling, so I'm not sure what the **** I was doing. Maybe schroedinger's sparring, where it's neither grappling nor anti-grappling until somoene observes it and collapses the waveform, and then I RNC a cat to death.----fatherdog

Besides, Napoleon wasn't French anyway. He was descended from minor Corsican nobility. If you're looking for French military badasses, I'd recommend Ney, Denfert-Rochereau and Aumale.

"Go cry about it Vargas. Aren't you late for your shift at McDonald's?"
"I had once talked to Billy Conn, the boxer, about professionals versus amateurs - specifically street fighters. One had always heard rumors of champions being taken out by back-alley fighters. Conn was scornful. "Aw, it's like hitting a girl," he said. "They're nothing."
