    Heel hook can be bad because its twisting and the margin of error is small and can be the difference between walking away fine or having a torn ACL. Kneebars though are no different than a straight armlock.

    Hadnt heard of John Connors... whats the name of the school? And who is he a brown under?

    The school is called Mad Dog Jiujitsu. He opened it last summer, so it's pretty new. Steve Whittier is another teacher there, although he mainly teaches in the afternoon when I'm not around, so I don't train with him a lot. www.dedhamjj.com

    I don't know who gave him his brown belt, I'll ask next class.

    Looking at the site, looks like he is a Boston BJJ guy... so most likely a Roberto Maia Brown belt. Cool. My trainer got his Blue from Roberto years ago. Those guys really dont like foot locks... I know Keith Florian swears them off like the plague.
