Tell people you do "Full Contact Kickboxing."

then they know there's contact so it's not cardio kickboxing...
and they know its kickboxing so it's not karate fu...

Assuming that you don't want to do this then you can't seperate fighting from MA.
Don't forget plays (Kabuki and Noh) heck movies about fighting would be martial arts then ;-)

Hoplology is a science that studies human combative behavior and performance. The word hoplology is derived from the Greek terms hoplos (a mythical plate-armored animal) and hoplite, the term for the classical Greek warrior. The word was first coined by the explorer and linguist, Sir Richard Burton, in the 19th century, but it was not until the 1960s when hoplology began taking shape as an academic field of study under the direction of Donn F. Draeger. ...

I know what he was referring to, and I chose to take omit the o and add an a. This is because I majored in Being Difficult and minored in Bullshitting Around.

And, in addition, hoplology is a word that falls into haplology's domain. Funny thing, that.

    Clever.

    Silly, but clever.

If you weren't annoying everyone, I suspect they'd appreciate the cleverness.

Eh, sometimes you play to a tough crowd, and sometimes you keep an argument going and going because you look at your lack of avatar and shake your head and you think "what do I have to do to put a custom one up there?" Then you remember the 1000 post mark, pick yourself up by the bootstraps, and start a gabbin.

Someone capable of making a self-referential joke about haplography really shouldn't be this dim.

Just cough up the $20 and save yourself, and the rest of us, from the purgatory of fruitless debate.
