Any pursuits can be spiritual pursuits if one approach with honest and sincer intent.
Just that practicing martial arts or any activity alone won't give you spirituality, nor mouthing of ideal would improve one's spirituality.
If you want to be honest person, be one.

Acupuncture is mostly bunk. Aside from offering a little pain relief, modern science has largely de-bunked it.
It's an interesting art with some interesting ideas. Some may have merit but likely need further study. But I can't imagine a situation where I'd see an acupuncturist before I'd see a doctor.

[QUOTE="To know oneself is to know your opponent"
is utter horseshit.
Thank you, goodnight.
Nonsense. That line is--in essence-- about conquering your own fear and slef-imposed limitations.
There is nothing "horseshit" about it, assuming you have even a smidgen of abstract reasoning, creativity, and insight beyond that of a twelve---or even twenty-- year old.
Hell, as long as you're not a *complete* stupid dumbass you should be able to grasp something of this quote's meaning/intent.

Why do noobs feel the need to resurrect OLD threads? If you find an old thread and enjoy it, great, but unless you have something earthshattering to add let the thread lie in peace.
