I've choked out someone in a guillotine in a spar. He came at me hard trying to prove he could take me out and I got a choke on him, he started making god awful gagging and choking noises and I felt horrible so I loosened up a bit.. He started with the kidney punches, which angered me more than anything, so I sunk in the choke really tight until he stopped moving.

Mainstream wing chun isn't the answer, neither is only using BJJ, no style is ever going to be complete alone because fighting evolves and sometimes techniques and theories constantly need adjustment.

I also want to comment on the video with the supposed "kung fu expert" vs. a gracie.. I've studied this fight quite a bit. The kung fu man might even be a decent martial artist and have decent forms, but he cannot fight very well. It looks like a very poor imitation of Bruce Lee. He is awkward, very telegraphic, and slow.. he doesn't commit into an attack fully because he is afraid. When the Gracie came in to "wrap him up" he should have really commited to a couple very hard strikes. If the Gracie had tried that with me his head would have looked like a deflated basketball. Although I will say that the kung fu man was smart in grabbing Gracie's wrist when he was being choked by the forearm, he did it to prevent a full choke out.. This video really upset me because the commentary suggested that "this is what happens when BJJ meets kung fu" and the kung fu practicioner made CMA look bad.. I felt like kicking both of their asses.

Real streetfighters and "scrappers" will shoot, tackle, or scissor your torso from behind when you least expect it. (like a piggy back ride except they wrap their arms around your neck and use their feet against your thighs or calves to make you fall forward or backward) riding the opponent to the ground (has happened to me and hurts in gravel parking lot) then start pounding you in the back of the head.

Good luck Mr Morgan. Hope that there are not any "politics" that prevent you taking the challenge. I want to see the video where classical kung fu beats BJJ.

I take it that is your sole area of training.
