    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    Anyone from OKC?

Hey, I live in OKC and have taken several martial art classes/dojos over the years but always left dissapointed because of what you all call Bullshido. I'm not a moron, I never bought the Chi **** and going to a dojo that also has tanning beds just seems...well...I don't know.

Anyway I want to start muay thai or some sort of kickboxing that isn't bullshido, but can't seem to find a decent dojo. Disclaimer: I haven't actually gone to any to watch. I will soon, first I need to get in better shape. But I was also hoping there might be some people from OKC or who have trained in OKC who can set me in the right direction.

Looking through the phone book I found one place that offers Muay Thai...they also offer Jeet Kune Do, TKD, Regular Boxing, Sayoc Kali and some other stuff. Is this usual, to have so many different styles?

What should I ask about if I call them? If I go and watch a class what should I look for?

There are a few good instructors in OKC

    Mike Parker
    Jason Epps
    Ty Gay
    Rafael Lovato
    Mike Matthews

They all teach a variety of arts and are quality instructors- they teach at different schools- you can google them or PM and I will give you their contact info.

Redline jiujitsu recently has changed locations but they offer muay tai (last time I was therw...3 mo. ago) quality, jiujitsu, and nhb, with quality instruction with reasonable prices and you can train 5 days a week. I train at okcdt judo (okcdt.com) currently. Usa stars in moore has an excellent judo program (Pat Burris - head instructor, former olympian and US olympic coach), jiujitsu, olympic weight lifting, etc. That is what I would recommend. Good luck!

USA Stars is awesome place- one of the best judo dojos in the country.

Where did Redline move to- aren't they still at the gymnastics place?

Way to read the forum descriptions, jerk. Moving to YMAS. Should hand out a 24 hour ban but I've got other crap going on.

You posted this in "Martial Arts BS". Go re-read the forum description. www.bullshido.net/forums

The official forum for Bullshido. Serious discussion on McDojos, questionable Martial Artists, and relevant issues only. Help us fight fraud in the Martial Arts by contributing well-thought-out threads and ideas on the subject.

This is our showcase forum and raison d’ętre; please keep to the subject at hand and take the squabbling to YMAS or Trollshido. Somewhat moderated for On-Topic posting.
Your thread is basically "Hay guyz wazzup help me find a school", which doesn't exactly do much in the fight against bullshit in the Martial Arts.
