What is next for him. His two brutal losses to Silva have relegated him to a place where he can have no hope of a title shot. He has defeated four gracies: Royce, Royler, Ryan and Renzo. I have only seen his fights against Royler and Royce and can't say I was too impressed. He was much much larger than Royler and he was not able to beat Royce except by attrition. What do you all think of his fights against Renzo and Ryan? What happened? Also, what do you think sak's future is going to be like? I admire his skills and his versatility.

You think Sak should be trained by people he would absolutely school? In other words ANYONE in the world who trains in Kosen Judo!!!!!

Sak is just facing a personal performance wall at the moment and age isn't helping any. And besides, Sak was actually in control of the second Silva fight until that slam caused that break in his collarbone.

If Sak beats Crocop convincingly he could very well be making a climb up the ranks again.

Renzo was beating Sak on points striking as I remember it and then tied up with Sak and Sak got a kimura and that was that, broken arm for Renzo. With it was just sad, Ryan did nothing but get spanked (I mean literally spanked by Sak, it was funny) and then he hurt himself or something, can't remember if it was due to a sub or something else.

Sak vs Royler was pathetic because Royler didn't come to fight, after seeing that I've got no respect for Royler. As for Royce, Sak used the same tactic Royce used on some of his opponents, let him wear himself out, then attack, so if Sak wasn't impressive beating Royce, Royce was never impressive period.

Anyway, Musashi...the Gracie nut riding is strong with this one. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

I don't really like the Gracies, I respect them, well most anyways, but I don't particularly like them. I myself always liked Vitor Belfort more than any of the Gracies well cept maybe Royce. He seemed to be more reserved than the rest of them.

God I miss Sakuraba....Pride just isn't the same without him...I'm holding my breath waiting for him to fight....He's got style & intelligence in the ring...
He's got great ground skills & he's light on his feet, not a real powerful striker, but all in all I think he's a well rounded fighter...he's one of those guys you just love to watch fight, I haven't missed one of his in Pride...

Sakuraba is one of my favorites. I like the more techincal guys, like Sak and Newton, over the powerhouses (I guess I am more of a powerhouse and I keep trying to more and more techincal)
I agree with Sam, Sak needs to work on strenghting his striking skills (Quinton commented on Sak's striking be akin to a BITCH!)
Sak is a showman and a fighter you GOT to love the guy.
