Sure. It's not a fight, they aren't trying to hurt each other. It's technical work. It was a test of skill.

That's the problem with language, I guess. People bring so much emotion to the words they use.

You missed the point that KidS was disappointed that no fighting was going on in the vids, as we'd wanted to see.

You missed the point that I was agreeing with her, nonchalantly.

Sorry, if your not fighting and your trying to talk about testing skills in a martial art you need to remove the word martial from what your doing. Its now called dancing my friend.

You look nice up there on that bandwagon.
    What's your fight history again?

Edit: I've got friends in Austin. Maybe we could visit?

Don't have an official fight history. That is also irrelevant. Have you seen me EVER praise my own fighting skills?

Edit: I find it funny that someone saying you must fight to test martial arts skills, somehow is an insult to you. Your more then welcome to come to austin, we can fight, go get a beer, whatever. You'll have to excuse my shape at the moment as its been over 6months since I've had time to train. Senior year of college tends to do that. It will be 1 more week till I can get back to training. However, regardless of my shape your still welcome to come.

    This make me sad.

Your style field makes me sad too.

There is no fighting skill in any of this shaolin bullshit, it's just dancing (as has already been stated)

Go train in a style that works for fighting.

About as often as you've seen me praise my own, but that also seems to be irrelevant.

    Rewatch the third video.

If any of you knew what you were looking at, you'd realize that the monk could have annhillated the guy at any time.

That first move that looks like nothing? Do you actually see what he's doing there?

As the TKDer tries to kick to the head, the monk sidesteps slightly and strikes the tkder in the ankle and knee simultaneously on opposite sides.

Watch the way the TKD'er starts favoring and working that leg to shake off the pain that's being inflicted.

If the monk were to execute that technique at full speed the TKDer would be crippled at first contact.

You people that call yourself martial artists don't even understand that a strike is occuring.

    Dipshits.

Do you have friends in Kansas City? Maybe you could visit them on the 27th of May.

I thought you were strapped anyway.
