    white house correspondents dinner

    Did anyone else see any of the white house correspondents dinner? I saw from slightly before Bush and his impersonator got out there and did their bit together. Regardless of if you like Bush or not, you have to applaud his good sense of humor.

    The highlight of the evening was of course Stephen Colbert as the key note speaker. He showed up in character and stuck to it the whole way through. I think brutal might be an understatement. I thought he might soft ball it because of the present company, but jeez he was ever rough. Also he had a movie. I'm sure that clips of his speech/movie will be everywhere on the net inside of a few days as well as on the daily show and the colbert report. And I was having a dull night until I turned to CSPAN, go figure.
