From what I've heard, when Hatsumi dies, Budo Taijutsu will split into several different organizations. There's a whole bunch of politicking and Machiavellian maneuvering going on right now. People stealing each other's students, awful students getting promoted by outside instructors, then their original teacher washing his hands of them, and all sorts of arguements on who has good Ninjutsu. Folks are spying on each other, and befriending guys in rival groups to try to recruit them as spys. The Wing Chun/Ving Tsun lineage wars are a real good analogy. Only add sneaky Ninja tactics and wargaming. They consider it as all good fun. Not clean, but still fun.
