For comparison, the WCL, Chuck Norris's new league, requires all leg kicks to be to the lead leg and proceeded by a combination attack.

Martial Arts Unlimited in Clawson (Metro Detroit) Michigan has a Savate program. Good stuff.

I don't really like their outfits, other than that, Savate looks cool. Even tho I think that muay thai is more "complete", I wouldn't like to have a street fight against a savate champion wearing army boots or something.

Asked today from my senior. She did not know such rule, and she has competed in European championships. Just fire away punches, but you score less than kicks.

I always wear heavy duty boots, this **** looks great.

Looks like a great compliment to Muay Thai, but it's dreadfully obvious it's not suited for MMA style competition.

You could think of it as a weapon art using the shoe as a weapon.

It is checkable online. Though your probably right about him being labeled a savateur as opposed to a karate-ka/ muay thai type for publicity reasons.

he was a kyokushin practitioner that did savate and thaiboxing aswell, i think he's the leader of some kyokushin organization in the Netherlands now, IBK or something.
