More Bullshit. Damn I have never met someone that set CMA back this far since USSD and the Shaolin connection. Or better yet Shaolin-Do.

    ****edit***
Have you read any history or Legends about these guys who created your art?
**** no. I was corrected by a member before. Admitted I was wrong and kept researching. End of story. I'd rather be proven wrong, learning better ways, than to keep training in BS.

All internal martial masters fought. The amount and the times differ (Yang supposedly had 10,000 CHALLENGE MATCHES). Now. to me the number doesn't matter. The fact is a founder fought, his students fought, their students fought, all the way up to and around the cultural revolution. Then suddenly Tai Chi became an exercise in peace, love and chi. Just like many other IMAs.

I swear you weren't going to do this.

If the fights were on video, and could be reviewed for the totality of the fighters' skill, and not just the 1-0 result, i think it'd be pretty valuable. I guess you'd need prior video of the fighters as a baseline for skill.

I have no clue at all what testing criteria could be though, ...

I vote to be in the crisps-and-whiskey sitting-watching-telly control group.

It Is Fake did it first, so it was legal.

He's not used to sparring anyway.

Maybe he should find someone with a pure TKD background to fight so as to build confidence. People who are used to point sparring have a tendancy to pause after they make a hit.

Science isn't done on an internet forum. Try your local university and posit them an experiment, with protocols and what you are trying to achieve. Publish the results in a peer-reviewed journal and, if the results are positive, I'll believe you.

The attitude that science can only be done within the confines of academia is sickening. I agree that most people aren't qualified to conduct rigorous experiment, but new media like the internet should be used to expand science.
