Top Ten Reasons to Take XMA classes

Here it is, the top ten reasons to take XMA:

10: you want the other kids at school to think you're hard.

9. You like to wear silk pajamas.

8. You like men...a lot.

7. You like spikey hair and highlights.

6. You like to do your hair while screaming at the mirror and listening to the theme to Mortal Kombat.

5. You wanted to be a cheerleader but you're afraid of touching girls.

4. You want to become a 6th Dan by the age of 16, I mean who needs to learn how to fight when you have rank and a cool looking gi.

3. You enjoy dragon ball-Z re-runs/the thought of chi makes you hard.

2. You are into zippers, and tight clothes.

1. The other kids at school make fun of you a lot, and you cry for no reason.

Here the one reason not to do that ****:

i think that musical kata is one of the worst things that could happen to the martial arts. Noy only does it take away from the seriousness of the art, but it also gives children a false sensce of what they are "studying". Martial arts is not meant to be a fun entertaining passtime event, it is a hard life of training hard. Not just sweating for a few hours a night, but there is also the conditioning that HAS to be present in order for ideas and techniques to be effetive.

I absolutely believe that you will not be able to teach to anyone or anyone be able to learn how to keep themselves from being kidnaped, raped and/or murdered by learning how to do some cheesee dance routine.

Everytime i see one of these kids doing musical katas, i can only turn my back and hang my head in shame.

And the excuse that "it's for the kids" really dosen't fly. I think that we all know that the only reason these things have been implimented into the martial arts, is because it brings more kids (money) into the school.
