    Destructions are your friend. :)

Sure, they're not legal in certain venues, but... um... "accidents" do happen. ;)

Bingo, the throwing of his arm is primarly to probe you from getting too close when he is kicking.

But its just that, a probe is weak as hell. Step in after the low kick, and punch him. (if thats not your style, then cut kick him first =) )

Assuming you both are using the same-side stance (both have left/right foot forward) and he's throwing with his front leg, you could eat the kicks and just drill him with a front-leg straight kick while he's flailing his leg at you. Since this will put him on his back if you connect (likely with his ribs), no punches necessary. Unless this is MMA, but you wouldn't be asking if this was MMA.

    What style IS this, anyway?

Button up and walk in to the kicks.

    Punch him.
And lo, Kano looked down upon the field and saw the multitudes. Amongst them were the disciples of Uesheba who were greatly vexed at his sayings. And Kano spake: "Do not be concerned with the mote in thy neighbor's eye, when verily thou hast a massive stick in thine ass".

Well, I know he does Doce Pares, but he said elsewhere he was gonna cross-train something else. I assume that is what he was talking about. If he's seriously having trouble with some round kicks and he's got sticks then there's nothing we can do to help him. :bduh:

cant agree with this more, lift up your leg to save your knee then punch him in the face, or just jump back.

Technically is Muay Thai (yes I do take Muay Thai) but before every session we spar on the mats and do grappling and stuff.
