Multi Person Scenarios

Is it possible to come of best in a multi oponent scenario if you have a weapon avaiable. Not a fire arm but an escrima or somthing.

Ive never fought with an escrima against oponents who actually wanted to kill me or whatever. And I wasnt talkign about an escrima. Could you beat 5 guys if you had a staff and they were unarmed.

Yeah. when they saw I had a weapon, they didn't attack and I went about my way.

It is possible. But only if you know how to hit hard enough, and your weapon is heavy enough to do real damage to them. Ultra-light rattan leaves nasty welts, but often won't penetrate enough to do severe damage.

I'd say that if you're really good, you may have a decent chance against 2 unarmed assailants. 3 maybe. But against more than that, they can just simultaneously rush you, tackle you, and pummel away, even if you manage to clock a couple of them while they are coming in.

Really? If you were twirling wouldnt that stop everyone coming near you. Everyone trying to attack you might think along the lines of "**** HE HAS A STICK EVERYBODY RUN" Or somthing.

Not entirely sure anyone is going to run from a guy with a stick. If he has friends with him he really isn't going to run from a guy with a stick. Its like watching a TKD guy flail his legs around, you won't hear anyone screaming "**** HE HAS A FOOT RUN!". If you use a staff all it is really going to take is one guy getting hit for his friends to close enough distance to make your staff worthless.

I know that I regularily walk around the streets of my town with a 6 foot staff. So yeah, this scenerio is very realistic.

And there are all sorts of broken things laying in the street that I could pick up and use as an improvised Rattan stick.

Obivously you havent been confronted by drunk teens on your way home from Doce Pares with a bag full of weapons on your back and half a Glasgow Freestyle uniform on.
