Would you go to the ground with a wrestler if you had no real training?

Of course not, what a silly question! I would elbow him in the spine or, perhaps, knee him in the head. Ground is not where you want to be with a wrestler, no sir!

The better question is.. how do you NOT go to the ground with a wrestler if you had no real training. Good luck finding the answer in a fist fight.

It's like (non-shad) went to one boxing class, but left after they taught the right hook. lol. That's all he throws.

Or like saying "Just knock him out" to a guy who has never thrown a punch in his life.

I like the dude screaming and ordering Chad around when he stops and says he doesn't want to hit the poor guy anymore, that asshole should be next. Everyone is screaming for blood and the only person that can fight is trying to keep it cool, fucking brilliance.

"there is a point when the fight is over"

Would I choose to? No, but the point was that the guy had no choice in the matter. I'm sure the felon guy didn't choose to go to the ground, but he ended up there anyway.

Yes, but the point that guy's coach/friend was trying to make was that he had to try his hardest to stay standing rather than just going with the flow and taking it to the ground willingly - work standup punching rather than trying to get him down first, because an untrained guy against a wrestler is going to get even more dominated the second he hits the ground. Of course, if you're an untrained guy going up against a trained competitive fighter, the choice really isn't in your hands, as people here have rightfully said.

my bad I wrote Chad instead of Shad. After rewatching the video I still have to say, if had his fighting ability in that situation I would not have been so cool. I was physically agitated just listening to those guys yell at him for not killing his opponent.
