This is interesting. I was under the impression that the term "boxer's fracture" referred to the micofractures sustained through punching a lot. However, I would suggest trying it out, and seeing whether the particular gym's training regimene would put an unacceptable amount of stress on your hands. Always play it safe.

I'm having issues with my fingers getting jammed lately. Somewhere along the line I started doing something wrong and wrong often cause I've got two thumbs and pinky tender as all get out. Might make playing a guiter difficult, though typing is ok(software developer by trade). My goal is to find a way to recover the strength I've lost from the jams, having really found anything beyond standard grip exercises though.
How about letting them heal?
