    It looks to me like a role-play in a self defense class. The student (Fanny) may have taken her role too seriously and actually decked the instructor, in which case he was just lucky that the crashmat was there to break his fall, or it may have been a realistic simulation. Pro-wrestlers and stage combat people can fake this sort of move pretty convincingly.

    It's hard to tell from the video but going by the other guy's reaction (the one who walks in and asks her name), I'd guess that she really hit him.

    Either way, it sounds like the spectators were impressed.
