First time at the firing range

Kat took me to a local firing range today. Our mission: kill paper targets.

Fired probably about 100 rounds with my Walther P22, and I emptied one magazine of Kat's AR15.

I killed my targets dead:

with pistol at 25 feet

I pretty much didn't hit the target at all with the AR15 at 50 yards, but I did get a bull's eye!

It was all much fun. My pistol had no cycling issues with the bulk ammo box we bought for it, no jamming, was all good. The gun is soooo fun to shoot.

Actually it was 25 feet and 50 yards.

My AR15 is not sighted in for **** which is something i need to rectify.

Had a lot more success with my beretta today.

This is a question for both of you. How is the Walther kick and accuracy? I still need to pick up a .22

But didn't bond use a shoulder holster?

Oh man, I was wearing a tank top at the range and a damn casing went down my shirt and burned the **** out of my boob! That **** hurts! Make note people, never wear low necked shirts while shooting.

Very very little kick, it handles sooo easy. The accuracy seems pretty tight at 25 feet.

I thought the Bond girls used thigh holster under their skirts though. If you really want to be Bond though you need a Walther PPK. Same manufacturer as your gun and only a .380 (9mm short) rnd, so you should be able to handle the kick.

Just throwing it out there, cause you commented that a full 9mm might be too much for you. And this is a solid gun for CCW is ever feel the need.

Honestly, that good advice, when I first started shooting I never thought about the ejected casing.

Didnt shoot the p22 much so I can't really comment to much on it. All i can say is it's a 22 and as such it has pretty much no real recoil. I was shooting pretty rapidly so I wasnt going for tight groups but the bullets went more or less where i wanted them to, i'mn not a horrible shot but I aint real great either so thats really all i ask.
